Impress yourself and your friends by learning how to make a variety of authentic dumplings and enjoy the fruits of your labour as part of your lunch! There are a vast array of bite-sized dumpling dishes produced for Japanese and Chinese meals. They can be made in a variety of ways, with many choices of filling and shapes are perfect to make as a fun, communal activity or simply to serve to your guests!
In this class you will be guided under expert tuition of Chris and Venus who will show you how to make three popular dumplings:
- Gyoza - the Japanese name for the half moon-shaped dumplings, often filled with pork. Crafted from scratch, Chris will even guide you through making the dough for the wrappers.
- Wontons with Sichuan oil - as well as learning to create either prawn or pork wontons, you will work with aromatics to create your own Sichuan oil.
- Nui Rou Xian Bing - Chris will give you tips for creating the golden, crisp crust and a juicy, fragrant beef filling, these dumplings are known for.
